As the theme of this year’s QP++ was sustainability, we decided to base our project around reducing power waste. A common problem we encounter in our daily lives is people turning and leaving lights on unnecessarily. Additionally, another problem is that too many locations leave all of their building lights on, even when no one is utilizing the location. Thus, we wanted a way for the lights to only turn on when someone’s actually there to utilize them. This, in the end, really inspired our project.
